Lyrics of the Song:
Dil ne phir yaad kiya
Barf si leharaayi hai
Dil ne phir yaad kiya
Barf si leharaayi hai
Barf si leharaayi hai
Dil ne phir yaad kiya
Barf si leharaayi hai
Dil ne phir yaad kiya
Barf si leharaayi hai
Phir koi chot muhabbat ki
Ubhar aayi hai
Dil ne phir yaad kiya
Barf si leharaayi hai
Phir koi chot muhabbat ki
Ubhar aayi hai
Dil ne phir yaad kiya
Wo bhi kya din the hamein
Dil mein bithaya tha kabhi
Wo bhi kya din the hamein
Dil mein bithaya tha kabhi
Dil mein bithaya tha kabhi
Wo bhi kya din the hamein
Dil mein bithaya tha kabhi
Aur has has ke gale
Tum ne lagaya tha kabhi
Khel hi khel mein kyon
Jaan pe ban aayi hai
Phir koi chot muhabbat ki
Ubhar aayi hai
Dil ne phir yaad kiya
Tum ne lagaya tha kabhi
Khel hi khel mein kyon
Jaan pe ban aayi hai
Phir koi chot muhabbat ki
Ubhar aayi hai
Dil ne phir yaad kiya
Kya bataayein tumhe hum
Shamma ki kismat kya hai
Kya bataayein tumhe hum
Shamma ki kismat kya hai
Shamma ki kismat kya hai
Kya bataayein tumhe hum
Shamma ki kismat kya hai
Ghum mein jalne ke siwa
Aur muhabbat kya hai
Ye wo gulshan hai ki jis mein
Na bahaar aayi hai
Phir koi chot muhabbat ki
Ubhar aayi hai
Dil ne…
Aur muhabbat kya hai
Ye wo gulshan hai ki jis mein
Na bahaar aayi hai
Phir koi chot muhabbat ki
Ubhar aayi hai
Dil ne…
Trivia:
Mahal made Lata Mangeshkar famous and established playback signers as stars in their own right. Before Mahal, records listed character names and indeed the first batch of records credited “Aayega aane wala” to Kamini, the character played by Madhubala. When the song first played on All India Radio, its phone lines were flooded with callers inquiring the singer’s name. All India Radio had to find this out from the record company before it could announce Lata Mangeshkar’s name on the air.
